Despite the poor box office of Saw VI — which Lionsgate vice-chairman Michael Burns told a New York City business conference got “buzz-sawed” by Paranormal Activity — the franchise’s studio is moving forward with Saw VII, the studio confirmed to EW. Director David Hackl (Saw V) is in pre-production on the project, which will be released Oct. 22, 2010, in 3-D. The studio still plans to use roman numerals in the title.

I don’t get the last sentence of this… “The studio still plans to use roman numerals in the title”. Were we expecting something different? I don’t know about others but that wouldnt be the first thing I would want to know about. What I really want to know is when are they going to get a clue and end this dragged out series… this coming from a fan.
Oh sweet lord, when will it stop?
When they stop making a profit off of series. Saw VI only cost $11 million to make. It made $16 million opening week. When you account for the total box office and dvd sales it’s probably going to make at least four times more money back than the budget.
I wasn’t even aware there was a 6 or 5 or 4……
