ABC is no longer planning to premiere the Kathy Griffin-hosted reality competition Let’s Dance on Nov. 23, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show was to feature celebrity teams reenacting famous dance routines, but ran into casting difficulties. The network will air Find My Family, which reunites long-lost relatives, in its place.

Good, just when we didn’t need another lame dancing show.
Agreed, Patrick!
ABC has finally come to their dancing sequin senses – now – if they could just find real celebrity-types for DWTS – then all will be right and proper in the world of too much reality tv…
Get off it. If DWTS didn’t have celebrities that people wanted to see, no one would watch it. Stop complaining and watch something else if you don’t like it. The casting is perfect – they always have people for all ages. I suppose you want the show stocked with so-called “hip” folks who will never be heard from again in 10 or 15 years?? Please…
“I suppose you want the show stocked with so-called “hip” folks who will never be heard from again in 10 or 15 years??”
While I agree the “stars” they have on there now aren’t hip, certainly most of them won’t heard from within 10 to 15 years. Unless by “heard of” you mean another edition of Celebrity Fit Club or Celebrities That Look Like Animals or whatever.
DWTS its the perfect show – it promotes dancing which all of you should be so happy to be able to get up and work those hips. YAH JAZZ HANDS.
Sorry Kev’my man – you mean ‘hip’ like ‘hipsters’ in the boogy woogy type of way. Cool Cats – THE MAN, In The Know, Dudes, Swingers. ah the ‘hip and cool’
Honestly, 3/4 of the time I don’t know who the celebrity is and who the professional dancer is. The only way to tell is by watching them dance. Then I know who the dancer is. The celebrities? Even when someone tells me who they are, their shows, songs, teams are so far in the past I can’t even watch them to see what they’ve done.
I think we all could have seen this coming.
“Ran into casting difficulties”? Yup… no surprises there.
Who would want to work with Griffin just to be made fun of later?
Maybe they’ll replace her.
From your lips to God’s ears!
Well why didn’t they cast her mother and a wine box as a couple? Tip it!
Like no one saw this coming! The real truth would also be clearing the rights to movie clips as I stated before! Smart move on studio’s part to decline this show.
I’m glad they nixed this. I enjoyed the original bbc version which was for one of their telethons. (Comic Relief). The Dancing was great, the celebrities were fun, but to see everything from other countries get imported to America is a bit much. Can’t the USA think of their own ideas, rather than steal from the UK and Canada. Show the original, not the copy, I say!!!!
No, the networks won’t allow it. Any creative thinking is not allowed. Except for so much of our programming that is completely original. Do you think the Brits think their version of Law & Order was dreamed up by some English guy?
Thank God someone had a brain to not air that crap that Griffin was going to host. What a waste of time.
I can’t blame celebs for not wanting to be on the show. Kathy trashes them all.
