Alvin, Simon and Theodore will be back earlier than expected. 20th Century Fox has moved up the release date of Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel to Dec. 23 instead of Christmas Day, Variety reports. The crowded holiday schedule also includes wide releases on Christmas Day for Sherlock Holmes, It’s Complicated, Up in The Air and Nine.
