Kenny Chesney 3-D concert film in theaters in 2010

Categories: Music, News

Kenny Chesney may not be hitting the road in 2010, but he will be hitting theaters in Summer in 3-D. The concert film, shot during last summer’s tour, will play select screens in April. In addition to the stadium shows, fans will also see more intimate performances: “We did a 35-minute show with all the tailgaters, right on the water,” Chesney tells USA Today of his Pittsburgh stop. “Unless you’re down there, nobody gets to see that.”

Chesney broke the news that he wouldn’t be touring in summer 2010 to EW in September. He’ll make a small screen appearance on Wednesday, when he performs “I’m Alive” with Dave Matthews at the 43rd Annual CMA Awards on ABC.
