CNN.com is reporting that comedian Katt Williams (Norbit, First Sunday) was arrested on charges of burglary and criminal trespass in a rural home southwest of Atlanta, Ga. He allegedly used a crowbar to break into the home and steal $3,500 worth of jewelry and other valuables. Williams’ attorney was not immediately available for comment.

I’m not a fan of his, but I don’t buy this. He’s still successful enough that he wouldn’t have to resort to petty crimes like random burglary of all things. There has to be more to the story, for example perhaps the house is that of an ex-wife or ex-girlfriend.
It’s nice to see black entertainers helping to dispel racial stereotypes!
I really hope there is more to this story, because I absolutely cannot stand it when I hear about a wealthy person stealing from others. Burglary is especially despicable when the burglar is already wealthy.
