People magazine spoke to country star Dierks Bentley about his connection to Kimberly Munley, the police officer who helped end the Thursday massacre at the Ft. Hood Army base. In the widely-circulating photograph of Munley from her Twitter page, Bentley is standing next to her: He’d stopped for a shot with her after a concert last July. He called Munley on Friday. “I said I was honored to have my picture with her and that my band and I were all thinking of her and praying for the folks on the base. I told her, ‘We are all just really thankful to you,’ ” said Bentley.

Good people all around. Nice.
This proves to me how awesome Dierks Bentley is. I love his music, but to take time out of schedule to let the victims and heroes of this tragedy know that you are thinking of them and wanting to show support to them and their families is very admirable. Good Job Dierks!
