Variety is reporting that Gwyneth Paltrow will join Nicole Kidman in The Danish Girl, an adaptation of the David Ebershoff novel about the first post-operative transsexual. The tome tells the story of the relationship between transsexual Einar Wegener and his wife. Kidman will play Einar and Paltrow will play the wife Greta, who stood by her partner through the sex-change operation. Thomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In) is directing a script by Lucinda Coxon.

Hahahhahahhahahhahahh………
I agree
i think gweneth should play the man personally, and nicole should play the wife
This could be amazing. I can’t wait to see it. I hope the director is good.
Gwynneth and Nicole in the same movie? Wow, I’d better get my drool bucket.
Thomas Alfredson’s “Let the Right One In”, a film about a teenage vampire, was a big critical hit in London and the film scores 98% on “Rotten tomatoes” website.
If Gwyneth is in it you know it will be terrible.
Every trannie’s dream: to become a female with Kidman’s looks.
The role that Gwyneth Paltrow portrays originally belonged to Charlize Theron, who later dropped out of the project.
I prefer Kidman and Theron as a duo, but Paltrow is also good.
I smell Oscar!
Personally, I think they should have auditioned transgender women to play the role. Why not? Give the role more depth. And there is no shortage of trans-actresses out there.
Similarly to TransAmerica, I disagree with the decision to cast a woman in the role of a transgender woman, especially when raw talent is waiting to be discovered. I get it, Hollywood wants butts in seats. But that’s why you’ve got a supporting cast.
Using male pronouns and Lili Elbe’s former name is not only disrespectful, it also makes for a confusing news item. You do not explain if she is a trans woman or a trans man.
