Comedy Central and 'The Onion' to launch scripted series

Comedy Central has ordered a pilot from news satire organization The Onion for a half-hour scripted series, based on their Onion Sports Network online video series. The yet-to-be titled weekly show plans to bring the same brand of intense, intentionally in-your-face sports coverage to sports fanatics and casual viewers alike. An air date has not yet been announced.
