'Three Men and a Baby' sequel in the works

Filed under: News and tagged:

Twenty-two years after the smash hit Three Men and a Baby, Disney has plans for another sequel. Tom Selleck’s manager confirms to EW that Three Men and a Bride is in the works. Selleck, Ted Danson, and Steve Guttenberg played the three bachelors comically challenged to take care of a little girl in the first two movies. WENN first reported that Guttenberg revealed the project and implied that Selleck and Danson were also on board. (Reps for Danson have not immediately replied to requests for confirmation.) The script is currently still being written but Selleck’s manager confirms that the logline, for those who can’t guess, is essentially: The little girl gets married.

I’d always wondered if they’d make this movie…

Hollywood finally bowed to all the pressure to finally bring this powerful franchise ba…wait….what? “Three Men and a Baby?” Oh. Excuse me while I go drink some drain cleaner.

  • Mimi

I wanna see that =P I loved the first one, I think it’s gonna be cute

  • Eric

More Guttenberg makes the world better.

The only thing that would make me happier right now is confirmation of him reprising his role as Mahoney.

yessss! this is a great idea. I would love to see those guys back together- those 2 movies make me happy

  • CHRIS

I’ll see it as long as that spooky kid behind the curtains in the first one is gone.

    • Tyler

      HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

    • MomC

I just can not watch this movie or even think about it without that being the VERY FIRST thing that pops into my head. What is worse, no one else I know seems to remember this story!

      • mmiss

It wasn’t a ghost of a little boy. If you really look at it, the “person” in the curtain was a cardboard cutout of Ted Danson.

They already had a sequel to this. It was called Three Men and A Little Lady…why the heck would we need another?

the logline should be: “who’s going to walk her down the aisle?!”

      • Nick T

        That’s a good one!

      • katherine

keep in mind that “peter” is now her stepfather, but then again that might not matter

Whats is gonna be now, Three Men and an Old Lady??

      • Steve

No… more like Three Corpses and a Lady.

What’s up with all those remmakes, lack of creativity oe easy money?

    • Kvivik

      Easy money, mostly.
Lack of creativity certainly, but some remakes are done properly and are as good in their own way as the original, and then there is lots of crap (Psycho with Vince Vaughn as Norman???? Puh-leez!)
Movies and TV are both suffering from the same problem, everything has been done before. Name a scenario for TV or Movie scripts and I’m positive I’d be able to find an old movie that it had already been used in.
We’re just supposed to hope that the directors make it worth watching.

        It’s not a remake. It’s a sequel.

      • chasman

It actually is a remake of a french film from 1985 – “Trois hommes et un couffin” (3 men and a cradle). Sorry to disappoint but Selleck, Danson and Guttenberg were not the originals. As I recall, the english version followed the french version almost exactly, with New York substituting for Paris of course.

Three Men were the best movies ever! Totally feel good movies. I’ve watched them over and over again!

  • PeterBilt The Nature Boy

Yes!!! The triology will be complete!!!

  • ANNIE

I totally would go see this. I always wondered what happened to baby Mary!

    • sweetalker

There’s already been a sequel, Three Men and a Little Lady, if you just can’t wait.

It wasn’t bad, as sequels go. At least it didn’t try to rehash the first movie, it had a fresh plot and a new location (London).

  • AwK

    Ick!

  • NE

    Yes!

  • shelby

Yay! It’s about time. These were my favorite movies. Love all 3 guys! I’m there!

  • Sarah T.

I think this is a great idea.

How fun! This made my day. I had Three Men and a Baby on VHS and watched it so many times it fell apart. I drop everything when its on tv.
