'Brüno' DVD includes La Toya Jackson scene

Categories: Movies, News

La Toya Jackson’s scene in Bruno, which was removed from Sacha Baron Cohen’s summer film before its release after the death of her brother, Michael, will be available as an extra on the movie’s DVD, according to People Magazine. The scene, which features La Toya Jackson and Brüno treating immigrant workers as furniture while Brüno attempts to acquire Michael Jackson’s phone number from her cell phone, appeared in early screenings of the film.

good, another reason not to rent it.

Michael Jackson is way over sold right now…who cares about the child molesting freak, if this is suppose to entice people to rent this POS then I am sorry to tell Bruno producers, this will not work….the only person that I hate worse than Mike is LaToya and her disgusting looking freak face

I doubt they are including the scene for the sole purpose of enticing people to rent it. Have you ever watched a DVD before? Most movie DVDs have deleted scenes. When they decided to take the scene out of the film for theaters, it was widely accepted that the scene would most likely be included on the DVD.

Since the film flopped in theatres, they have got to find ways to create more interest/buzz for the DVD, and what better than some “controversial” footage related to the King Of Pop, who’s hotter than he’s been in 15 years, sadly due to his death?

Bruno did not flop. It made over $130 million at the box office… nearly three times more than it’s production cost. Did you want to try again?

Bruno made half as much as Borat, and cost twice as much to make. It certainly flopped hard relative to it’s expectations.

Your logic is flawed. No doubt Bruno was not the pop culture phenom that Borat was. But it was still hugely profitable, not at all a flop.

By your logic, Empire Strikes Back was a flop because it cost 3x more than Star Wars but only earned about 2/3 at the box office.

Dums: You’re misinterpreting the word flop. If Bruno made 3 times more than its production cost, it has to be considered a success. You have to look at it in a vacuum, separate from Borat. It was never going to make as much as Borat because Borat was a 1 time thing. That’s like saying Avatar is a flop if it doesn’t make as much as Titanic did.

        Worldwide:$137,344,585,
was the total amount it made, just for those that are keeping track.
it looked like a flop in the US, because it made 60+ mil, but it still made its money and then some, which in the DVD market will make a lot more to its total.

alright crispy! snap crackle and pop!

Yay!!! I thought it was stupid that they took it out anyway.
Don’t bother trying to explain why it wasn’t a flop crispy. I had a roommate like that one time, if she didn’t like a movie, no matter how much money it made, she would rationalize some reason in her head to make it a flop to her. I remember one time she claimed Something About Mary was a flop because it took several weeks to hit number one at the box office. We tried to explain to her that actually showed how big a hit it was, that after several weeks in release, it hit number one. But her pea brain was set. There’s no reasoning with these kind of people.

Who cares if movie was a hit or a flop? The “Transformers” sequel made a ton of money; does that mean it was worth a s**t?
