Kathy Griffin will host ABC’s new show Let’s Dance, in which celebrity contestants will reenact famous routines. It will premiere at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, after the Dancing With the Stars performance finale. The five-episode run will allow three viewers’ choices and three judges’ choices to advance to the final performances, from which the voting public will pick the winner.

Ugh, too much, ABC! I love DWTS, but two seasons a year of that is already a lot to take. I know this thing is only 5 episodes, but it still annoys me that they want to build upon the success of DWTS by finding a way to make almost the same show again with just a very small twist. Can’t they come up with an entirely new idea for a show so that it feels fresher and less like DWTS is just dragging on longer?

Well, 15-20 million people watch “celebrities” attempting to dance every week. I’d watch Kathy take a dump as even that mundane event would probably be hilarious.

Seriously, they had a big board meeting at the network and could only think of this to fill air time? I would hate to see what they shot down. Remember the days when celebrity contests were a one or two night a year TV event?
I actually HATE Dancing with the Stars.. it’s so cheesy and I don’t care about any of those so-called “celebs”. But watching Kathy Griffin comedy and famous routines sounds really fun, I’ll definitely DVR.

I think they want to continue that celebrities dancing concept up until December. Why couldn’t ABC put some of its hit comedies or dramas in that 2 hour slot after Dancing with the Stars ends its run? I don’t think this new dance show will interest as many people as Dancing with the Stars has for 4 years.
I’d watch Kathy Griffin read the phone book, but another dancing show? Ugh.
Love her, but judging from her last Bravo special… she needs to come up with some new material before this show starts.
