CBS has ordered five more episodes of the Jenna Elfman comedy, Accidentally on Purpose, says Variety. The sitcom, which follows a single woman who becomes pregnant by a younger man, nabbed its best ratings yet Monday night, averaging 8.5 million viewers.

The show may not be laugh out loud funny like Jenna’s Dharma and Greg but for much of the show, its funny to me and i guess i am not the only one. But I think the best thing would to put this after Gary Unmarried on Wednesday’s and put Old Christine in the 830 slot, that would be a fantastic 2 hour comedy block, what do you guys think?

Yes they could Old Christine back on Mondays where it belongs. That show is rotting away a slow sad death despite its BRILLIANCE on Wednesday nights.
I’ve been watching this show cuz I really like Jenna Elfman but something about it just isn’t quite clicking…Maybe they need to get into a groove…It certainly isn’t the worst thing on TV.

I’m happy to hear it got 5 more episodes…true it isn’t the greatest show on the planet, but it is definitely a feelgood show, so I say keep it coming!
Maybe there is something wrong with us, but my husband and I really like this show. Maybe it’s not the BEST (Modern Family, Cougar Town, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, and the Office are our favorites), but it’s better than most of the traditional sitcoms.
It’s an enjoyable show that I’m glad is being given a chance. I know a lot of people don’t like it, but 8.5 million people isn’t a bad number either.
I am very happy. I loooove this show. It is 100 times better than the very similar Cougar town. Did you all watch the show last night? It was really funny and heart warming at the same time.
Come on already…give Eastwick the full seson order…
the show is only alive because its sandwiched between HIMYM and Two and a Half Men. when CBS moves it to a new night next season… watch the ratings drop.

Terrrible show. Makes me miss Rules of Attraction, at least that show has Patrick Wharburton. Can’t stand that guy who’s the kid’s buddy. Actually this show is so terrible that I don’t want to write anymore cause it’s making me think of it.
Meh. There’s been better, there’s been much worse. I think it’s the fun triangle where I root for everyone. My standards for this show are low, and AoP tends to go right along with those standards, so I’m fine watching it for what it is–a half an hour that I enjoy enough to watch because it’s on a night where I’m not so busy. Just please cancel Gary Unmarried, the only thing good about that show is Paula
Didn’t this happen with Miss Elfman’s OTHER show on CBS? Ordered more, then all of the sudden, poof, it was not there anymore?

I accidently read this story – oh boy was I sorry, and will purposely not watch.
This show is nothing more than edited out versions of knocked up. There is a reason why it was edited out. It appears when the writers were on strike they went dumpster diving to find the outtakes and put them into this. I see CBS ordered 5 more shows. The only reason this show has ratings is it is left on while poeple go to the bathroom, do dishes, and await the next show. This show lacks anything and everthing at the same time. Who would come up with an idea to have a show and base it around 20 year olds smoking dope and inpregnating a 45year old woman who is hard up. This show is just unrealistic. What woman would live with a bunch of young guys unless one of them were her son or unless she were a crack addict. It makes no sense, unrealistic, and just plain idiotic. I am sure the writing can only get better, but I am not holding my breath. Please cancel this show and put us all out of our misery. I would rather watch some other reruns at this point.
