Felony charges have been brought against Army reservist Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr. for allegedly stalking radio and TV host Ryan Seacrest. Uzomah was arrested Friday after he arrived at E! Entertainment Television headquarters, allegedly carrying a knife, and tried to see Seacrest. The 25-year-old was already on probation and subject to a restraining order after pleading guilty in September to several misdemeanor charges following an incident in which he attempted to meet Seacrest after an event in Southern California and attacked one of his bodyguards. Army Lt. Col. Nathan Banks told the Associated Press that Uzomah is a sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve and serves as a combat medic. He was honorably discharged from Army National Guard, which he joined in 2005, earlier this year but returned to the Reserve in August. ”It’s an unfortunate incident which has happened,” Banks told AP. “We’re watching it.” If convicted of the stalking charges, Uzomah faces up to four years in prison.
