'SNL': January Jones and Joseph Gordon-Levitt to host in November

Saturday Night Live announced its line-up of guest hosts and musical acts for November and it’s looking like there will be a lot of new faces in Studio 8H. Mad Men‘s January Jones will host the show on Nov. 14, with the Black Eyed Peas doing the musical honors. A week later, on Nov. 21, (500) Days of Summer star Joseph Gordon-Levitt will stand center stage with the Dave Matthews Band, who return to the show after nearly a decade. As previously reported, pop star Taylor Swift will wear two hats as both host and musical guest next Saturday night, Nov. 7.

Love Love LOVE Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I will watch him in anything, so consider me psyched about his being on SNL!

      Excited about JGL too!

    • Dory

      I agree 100%!

This guy is a great actor – he should be the one to replace Heath Ledger as the Joker in the next Batman.

As for SNL, please cut down on the Kirsten Wiig skits, she is getting annoying – especially Gilly skits

Ashton Kutcher is going t be so mad about this…

SNL is the worst show on tv, they use it as torture at Gitmo

      And your fav show is?

JGL should be great! It’ll be interesting to see how January Jones does. I don’t know anything about what kind of comedy experience she may have…but at least this season will beat the last one for number of female hosts. As I recall, they had three last year, and Taylor Swift will already be the third.

Wasn’t she in one of the American Pie movies?

I love mad men and I love DMB, this looks good.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a good actor with some prevous experience in comedy, so he should be alright, though the SNL writing may hamper him.

January Jones is sexy as hell and does a good job, But I’m not sure what her comedy credentials are. Then again, Jon Hamm was flat-out hilarious when he went on SNL, so who knows?

I’m happy about both of them hosting, but unfortunately they both got paired with such awful music acts, especially the BEP.

I know JJ was in the third America Pie movie where they got married, so she does have some comedy background. Not in good comedy mind you, but a comedy nonetheless. I’ll be excited to see how both will do.

She also played a small comedic role in Love, Actually.

    • marctiley

Wow…you don’t like DMB, are 65 years old?

They are one of the most successful bands of the last 20 years.

      • JR

Actually I’m a college student who just happens to have actual good taste in music.

Just because they are successful doesn’t make them good, and I know lots of young people who feel that way.

I am glad that Dave Matthews Band will be musical guest!! I like them!!

  • Laura

So happy that JGL is finally hosting SNL, but I feel bad for him that he’s hosting during SNL’s worst season ever. Oh well – I’m sure he’ll benefit from the publicity regardless, and maybe Samburg will give him a good digital short.

Seriously? We all haven’t had enough of the marginally-talented Taylor Swift yet? I mean, she seems a really nice girl and all, but all this attention and success? Yeesh.

    • snow

Ok Kanye aka Matt- lighten up on Taylor. Her talents eclipse the majority of stars out there.

      • Billy

There are more talented singers than her – Renee Olstead is a far superior talent than Taylor Swift whose songs are fairly juvenile. Renee is reminiscent of Ella Fitzgerald and Anita O’Day. Taylor Swift is a flash in the pan, someone else will come along shortly and be the next ‘it’ girl, Renee will be around for a while
