January Jones and Diane Kruger will star alongside Liam Neeson in thriller Unknown White Male, Variety reports. Neeson plays a man who wakes up from a coma and finds someone has stolen his identity. Jones will play Neeson’s wife, who gets involved in a conspiracy; and Kruger will play a Berlin taxi driver who becomes Neeson’s unexpected ally. Jaume Collet-Serra will direct, and the project will start shooting in late January in Berlin.

Ivanka Trump marries Jared Kushner
Ivanka Trump, Donald’s daughter and the Celebrity Apprentice host, was married today to Jared Kushner, People reports. Kushner, who also comes from a New York real estate family, is publsher of the New York Observer. They were married in a cermony at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. Trump, who has her own jewelry line, wore a Vera Wang gown.

Warner Bros. is negotiating to buy a pitch for an animated movie about a peacock, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The pitch is by writers Austin Winsberg and Heath Corson.
Kenny Ortega won't direct 'Footloose'
Kenny Ortega is no longer on board to direct the Footloose remake, Variety reports. Ortega reportedly left the project over creative and budgetary issues with Paramount Pictures. Sources said that Ortega wanted to make a music-heavy $30 million project, while Paramount was pushing for an edgier drama coming in at $25 million. Variety says the studio will start looking for a new director on Monday, and hopes to still be on track for a March shoot, to coincide with star Chace Crawford’s break from shooting Gossip Girl. Ortega, who choreographed Dirty Dancing and directed the hit High School Musical films, directed the Michael Jackson concert film This Is It, which opens Wednesday.
Paramount considers 'Paranormal Activity' sequel
With low-budget horror hit Paranormal Activity now at the top of the box office, Paramount is eyeing a sequel, the Los Angeles Times reports. “We have the rights on a worldwide basis to do Paranormal 2 and we’re looking to see if that makes some sense,” Paramount Chairman Brad Grey told the Times. The horror film, made for just $15,000 and acquired by Paramount for $300,000, has made $62.5 million so far and industry players expect it to cross $100 million.
Andrew Lloyd Webber being treated for prostate cancer
Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, BBC News confirms. A statement from his spokesman said the cancer was in very early stages. “Andrew is now undergoing treatment and expects to be fully back at work before the end of the year,” the statement said. Webber is the composer of musicals including Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita and The Phantom of the Opera. His latest project is Love Never Dies, a Phantom sequel.
Garth Brooks sells out first 20 Las Vegas gigs in 5 hours
Garth Brooks’ first 20 gigs scheduled in Las Vegas sold out in less than five hours, the AP reports. He comes out of semi-retirement to play the shows at the Wynn Las Vegas resort starting Dec. 11. He signed a five-year deal with Steve Wynn that includes 15 weeks of shows per year in the 1,500-seat Encore theater.
Disney expands refunds for Baby Einstein videos
Disney is expanding the refund program for its Baby Einstein videos, the AP reports. The move comes in the wake of a campaign led by psychologist Susan Linn that questioned some of the educational claims by the company, for instance that babies could learn words from the videos. On its website, the company said: “We strongly believe that, unlike Linn, our consumers find value in our product, and rather than continue to fight with her, we decided it to leave it up to those consumers. That is why we extended a refund policy that was already in place.” Baby Einstein’s upgrade/moneyback guarantee program offers cash refunds, exchanges or product discounts for DVDs bought from June 5, 2004 through Sept. 4, 2009. The offer runs through March 4, 2010.
Mad Max 4 to begin production in Australia next year
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the fourth installment of the Mad Max film series — which launched the career of a young Mel Gibson 30 years ago — is set to begin production in Sydney and the Australian outback next year, with producer/director George Miller back at the helm. Titled Fury Road, the film is currently without studio backing, but reportedly has a $100 million budget.
Morrissey in stable condition after onstage collapse
British mope-pop star Morrissey (neé Stephen Patrick Morrissey) collapsed on stage in Swindon, England, tonight, according to the UK’s Guardian. Witnesses said that just after finishing his opening song, Morrissey fell to the floor and was helped offstage by band members. A spokesman for the Great Western hospital told the Guardian that “Morrissey is being reviewed by the medical staff and his condition is stable.” The singer has cancelled a string of concerts this year due to an “unspecified illness.”
UPDATE: BBC News reports Sunday that Morrissey had breathing difficulties onstage, and has been discharged after a “precautionary” overnight stay at a Swindon hospital.
