'The Mortal Instruments' being adapted for film

i think u should stop trashing twilight personly i really liked Bella is just a normal girl standing to face vampires of corse shes a damsel in distress she cant fight a vamprie. they have super speed and super strangth u can’t just take a knife and fight them they can only be hurt by other vampires or the shape-shifters teeth she has to stand behind her protecters whats more bella is strong in her own way she is very willing to die for the people she loves she proves thst in the first book and in the last book when she is finally on an even footing with her enemys shes ready to fight and she dosnt like the fact that she is of more use standing also i’d like to note that the writing in twilight is very good the way the words fit together and flow is amazing
also when you top the reading list with all four books being #1 new york times bestsellers you can talk

I agree with victoria. People stop comparing City of Bones to Twilight. I find it unfair. They’re way different from each other.

Someone should tell Alex Pettyfer to audition. I’d be really dissapointed if he didn’t play as Jace.

I would be completely psyched about this movie if not for my fear that it will end up like the twilight movies. Bad casting and horrible cliches. I can’t say I love twilight i think Stephanie could have done much better with bella’s character and stuck to a more original vampire not some “sparkly” vegetarian twits. what I hate about it is the amount of clueless fans that its brought out, People who don’t care about the plot or characters they just want to see a bunch of hot shirtless guys. I think that if they do city of bones right and cast the right people and don’t tone down parts like i know they will *cough*alec and magnus*cough* i think Cassandra clare put a lot more thought into her books than Meyer did. Clare researched for the best mythologies, she has much more humor, and her teenagers ACT LIKE TEENAGERS not love struck bimbos. Clare has managed to make a fantasy as realistic as it could be. She describes everything with enough detail to see the book in your head like a film but not so much that it bores you to death. I sincerely hope that this film is done right and not hyped up like twilight was.

Really, A Great and Terrible BEauty? I really wanted that book o be great, but it was so dull! Nothing seemed to happen for gods sake. AND hey, Twilight is a fantastic book, Stephenie has managed to convey great emotion in her writing that some authors can only wish to achieve. I’ve never felt so emotionalyl drawn to characters. Although they are nothing like MI, they’re totally unique and fantastic =) other than Twilight (naturally) they’re the best books I’ve ever read =)
