Can you imagine the outrage if there had been a star of david hanging on the wall and was pissed on.
This show is a satire and this is hardly the first time they’ve pushed the envelope in comedy about religion. This is the funniest show on TV today. Groups that are so insecure in their beliefs are quite pathetic. Get a life, Donohue!
1. No reputable scholar these days has the momumental ignorance to deny the historical existence of Jesus Christ.
2. Icons (images) are not worshipped. The person depicted is either worshipped (only God receives this) or venerated (Saints *honored* only for how well he/she imitated Christ). If you were to kiss a picture of your wife or child, you are expressing love for that person, not the paper. Worn icons are thrown in the trash. There are truly miracle-working icons, but they are rare.
