Comedy Central has picked up repeats of ABC’s cancelled animated series The Goode Family, Variety reports. Comedy Central plans to air all 13 episodes in January. The story follows a family trying to live a very PC lifestyle. Mike Judge was one of the show’s executive producers and also voiced the lead character. Also, the cable network is in discussions to pick up Fox’s Sit Down, Shut Up.

YAY! I really hope it gets renewed for a second season. It’s the funniest show you’re not watching.
Hell yeah! I enjoyed this show quite a bit. Here’s hoping for another season.
Good news! I enjoyed both, but found SDSU funnier
I really liked ‘The Goode Family’. I know it’s cancelled now but I still hope it will come out on DVD someday. I enjoyed it alot more than ‘King of the Hill’, was really pleased to see that show finally end! ‘Sit Down Shut Up’ was awful, and that’s coming from someone who really loves Mitchell Hurwitz and ‘Arrested Development’!!
Goode Family didn’t look good to begin with. Now SDSU, that show is hilarious. Yes, the pilot sucked, but every episode following got better and better. It’s a shame that the show never got a chance.
Hopefully CC actually picks up the show and it can find an audience.
Goode Family suffered from Bad Pilot Syndrome. The first episode used all the obvious jokes, and that made it look dumb. People thought it was just an Al Gore-bashing right-winger cartoon. But it was very smart, very insightful, and everyone takes their lumps. You can’t tell me it’s a right-winger show when the most sympathetic characters are the vulgar, butch lesbian couple.
“Nothing ever gets solved with violence.”
“Haven’t you ever seen a Charles Bronson Movie? That man could use violence to solve pi!”
BOTH shows were truly AWFUL! King of the Hill was 1,000,000 times better than the wimpy The Goode Family. And I actually like The Cleveland Show better than Sit Down, Shut Up, and I don’t like it in the least. I think Comedy Central is wasting its precious space, I’d rather see reruns of ANYTHING else!
Plus I thought it was COMEDY Central. Not Unfunny Central. Plus I already thought we had Cartoon Network. Comedy Central just keep your focus on the new Futurama and South Park episodes, PLEASE!
George, you took the words right out of my mouth. I’m in complete agreement!
Great to see Sit Down Shut Up back in business. I laughed all the way home for each episode that I have seen
