Chris Brown announces 'Fan Appreciation' tour

Filed under: News and tagged:

Chris Brown announced a 19-city “Fan Appreciation” tour of smaller, intimate venues to thank his fans for their on-going support. The month-long tour begins Nov. 14 in Houston and ends Dec. 15 in New York City. Brown intends to donate a portion of the tour’s proceeds to two non-profits: The Jenesse Center, a Los Angeles based domestic violence intervention program; and Best Buddies International, which helps people with intellectual disabilities. In August, Brown was sentenced to five years of probation and community service for attacking his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna.

Sounds more like a realization that he’ll never be able to fill large venues now.

It is fitting though, that the money that people with questionable taste pay to see him will just end up going to charity. Hopefully “a portion” is a subtantial amount.

Chris brown never filled a large venue BY HIMSELF…he always had a “troop” of stars with him…remember he still appeals to “teens” and not adults. He’s still young and he’s still a star…he’s making the right moves…and by the way there was an item in one of the gossips that he’s still seeing Rihanna “on the sly”.

And you believe the gossips? Chris Brown is barred by law from having any contact with Rihanna for five years. If he does his probation gets revoked and he goes to jail.

I feel like Chris Brown is actually doing things to remind us he will be a future wife beater…intimate venues for fans…cause most people think he beat Rhianna…he’s donating money to charity….cause he beat Rhianna. I can’t disassociate the two.

They can sell t-shirts that say: I went to a Chris Brown concert and all I got was this black eye.

    • Agustin

      LOL!

    • paige

      hahahha Crispy youre a genius

  • carole

I think the t-shirt should have a big bullseye on the front and a “Slap me silly” on the back

  • jordan

wow you people need to give it up.
yes, what he did was very wrong. he acted out of anger and made a terrible mistake. he’s been paying for it, and he’s doing his time. and now he’s going further to donate his profits to charity. and btw i’m pretty sure that chris brown could still at least come close to filling a venue.

    • carole

paying for it ….doing his time…. so that’s all that has to be done after you decide to beat the crap out of someone in the name of love – give back to a shelter for beaten women – Chris Brown is a violent man who has not learned his lesson – shallow attempts to pacify the public – HE BEAT ANOTHER PERSON – you never get over it – EVER

I think the fact that no matter what he does, he’s still branded with a scarlet letter says a lot more about our society than it says about him.

      • Sally in Chicago

He won’t be branded long…the public is very forgiving over time.

nobody forgave Ike Turner– even when he died

  • Kaja in Montana

Is this his community service – sounds more like paying off his time rather than really learning a lesson or helping others. Singing is his chosen profession – but his life is about abuse. We need to separate the 2

  • Nathan

Maybe if his music was better, he’d be a little easier to forgive, but unfortunately it just isn’t.

    • Jessie

His music is a heck of a lot better than Riri.

You guys are pathetic….Chris made one “mistake” and you act like he killed somebody, or ran over a dog.

    • Brooke

      Or beat up a woman.

But hey, so long as it’s not a dog…

    • carole

anyone who defends Chris Brown should be on the other end of one of his “mistakes”

  • Sarah

I find the timing of this announcement interesting. Rihanna previews her single yesterday and this announcement comes today. Maybe it’s coincidence, maybe he doesn’t want her to shine. Who knows.

    • carole

      maybe he’s channeling Kanye….

  • Diggity

If it’s really a “fan appreciation” tour, shouldn’t the tickets be free? At least donate 100% of the proceeds.

  • carole

appreciate that he still has fans that are willing to shell out money to see this untalented woman beater – better yet – have a fan interaction segment – 100 % of the money if he B!tch slaps another woman
