Comedy Central has landed the exclusive syndication rights to FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the first time a basic cable network will air reruns of another basic cable network’s ongoing TV series, reports Variety. (Currently airing its fifth season, FX has secured the black comedy through its seventh season.) Sunny will begin airing second-run episodes on Comedy Central next summer.

Love Sunny! Glad to hear that there will be at least two more seasons after the current season 5. I haven’t seen many episodes from the first 2 seasons so I’m glad I’ll have a chance to see some of them next summer on Comedy Central.
Best Comedy on Television.
It’s Always Sunny . . . owns the over-hyped Community and, much to my dismay, increasingly owns The Office, which is still funny but obviously running on fumes at this point. I fear NBC will run it into the ground as long as ratings are up. Thank God FX sends its shows out on high notes, Rescue Me and Nip/Tuck excluded, and brings on creative new shows.
Are they going to censor the language at all, or will it be run unedited?
Didn’t SpikeTV have reruns of The Shield while FX was still doing original episodes?

I think we should all celebrate with some milksteak.
