Michelle Obama will appear on The Jay Leno Show this Friday, NBC announced today. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first lady will respond to 10 “rapid-fire questions” in a bit for the talk show. Colin Firth is also scheduled to appear as a guest on the program Friday.

no! the First Lady should be interviewed by Conan on The Tonight Show. do you see what’s happening again people? generic oaf Leno is stealing Conan’s thunder, like he stole Letterman’s when he got TTS over Letterman. Leno’s show is consistently getting A-list celebs everynight, while Conan is stuck with mostly B-listers. this isn’t right. Leno should’ve retired like he said he would. ugh.

Another reason why I feel bad for Conan. How can he rightfully take his spot as Tonight Show host with Jay taking guests like this away from him? Not an Obama fan, but I’d rather see Conan be goofy with her than Jay baby her.

This may be the boost that Jay Leno needs to better those depressing ratings for the past 10 to 15 of his primetime shows. Michelle Obama’s someone everybody knows (the First Lady) and people will come in droves to see her as a guest. If Barack Obama gave Jay some of his highest ratings earlier this year with his guest appearance, so will Michelle with her own appearance. She’s very outspoken.
