American Idol graduates Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta are eschewing the self-titled route for their upcoming debut albums. Lambert, Idol’s season 8 runner-up, announced via Twitter that the title of his record, which will be released Nov. 23 via 19 Recordings/RCA, will be For Your Entertainment. Iraheta’s disc, slated for Dec. 1 release via 19/Jive, will be called Just Like You. Fans of both singers began buzzing about the album titles after they appeared on the artists’ Amazon.com pages earlier this evening; a spokesperson for 19 confirmed both titles exclusively to EW.com.

I’m a huge Adam fan but that album title is awful. I’m very disappointed.
I don’t think it’s awful, it’s just kind of “meh.” Oh well, the title means little in the end anyway. It’s the music that matters.
You like surprisingly nothing about Adam, for an Adam “Fan”. Not his songs, not what he does, nothing. Why not save yourself the trouble and stop commenting about him, then?
Don’t give a ***** what the name is as long as the music inside is from Adam Lambert I am buying it!!!
I think FYE is an appropriate title for his first album since he is all about the entertainment and he wants to be recognized solely as the “entertainer”. I personally would pick albums with such titles in the store if I am looking for something new. So I think it is kind of smart move to pick such a title that anyone could relate too. Plus it is holidays and people will for sure would like to give a gift-cd of an album titled FYE, it is a post-card by it self with a huge “message” in the cover plus a photo of a “hunk”…
i lllllooooovvvvveeeeee the title for your entertainment i the title is cuuutttteeee lol$$$
love it adam! cant wait! i know your cover art is gonna be fab!!
Adam’s title isn’t very good, but it does fit the way that he approaches his music and career. Anyone who’s followed him over the last nine plus months shouldn’t be overly surprised by the title. Mabye 19 can work something out, and Adam can do some cross promotion with the FYE chain of stores.
As far as Allison’s goes, I don’t know what to think. There most be a reason for the title, maybe it’s the name of a song that will be on the album, otherwise, it just doesn’t tell us anything about her.
Is the title of the CD supposed to tell us about her? Didn’t we learn a little bit when she was on the biggest show on TV for months last spring? And, won’t the songs on the CD delve further in? Titling a CD is important, but I think you’re placing way too much importance on it with that statement.
Just another comment – and I am not trying to be rude – but “Just Like You” implies to me that she’s telling us that she is… just. like. us…
… which is rather disingenuous because she is a talented singer who is releasing an album, and we are not.
I disagree! I think it’s cocky and wry at the same time. Definitely sounds like Adam.
Yay! I’m so excited to hear the title of Allison’s album! I will definitely be purchasing Just Like You on December 1st.
Jim beat you by a few minutes, Michael. Looks like they gave that “exclusive” to MTV, too.
(I love you both!!)
i seriously can’t wait for both of their albums! can’t wait for Kris’ either! Kradison ftw(:
i can see why adam’s was called For Your Entertainment. He’s an entertainer! it’s adam lambert..what else can you expect? i like it! can’t wait!!
and i can’t wait for allison’s Just Like You either! it’s so her! i can see why they chose it. she’s a relatable amazing teenager. that album is gonna blow our minds and take our breaths away! can dec 1 come any slower?
woo hoo!!
So glad that they are not going the self-titled route. Love both the titles and can’t wait to hear the albums.
“For Your Entertainment”. Not quite what I expected. I wonder if the album artwork might explain this choice? I will be curious. And frankly, who buys an album based on the name?
I think the album title is a reflection of the way ADAM feels about us, his fans … he always said he wanted to entertain us and he has and he does. And the TITLE is a continuation of that love. I think it is a GREAT TITLE!! IMO
Yes, I just read that the artwork will feature Adam on a darkened theater stage with a hat and cane, a la Al Jolson circa 1928.
YAY !!! GO ALLI GO !!! Her album is gonna be da bomb. Her video is coming soon, OMG…dying of anticipation. I will buy, for the first time ever, an Idol contestant’s album. OMG… Can’t Wait.
I think both album titles are pretty much right on the money. Glad somebody decide to put some effort into naming the albums.
Adam’s title is perfect. Seriously, the people that don’t get it, don’t get him.
We get him all right. We just don’t like the title.
I agree, fellow AO member!!!
I like Allison’s title, it fits her as the relatable teen.
“For Your Entertainment” is a very broadway sounding name, so it feels Adam very well. That’s not meant to be an insult.
I don’t want any comparisons to Broadway.
Deal with it…you’re going to get them.
Adam = Broadway
I think it sounds kinda like a three-ring circus or a side show. I love it! Great title.
I agree with you Crispy. (Wow been doing alot of that lately) Wife says I should get my head examined for doing that. LOL Awwww just joking. What do you fellow Glam rockers think of the title STRUT? It is a song written by him and that Kara woman, doesn’t it sound like Adam? My thought so. This was also her idea. Yeah I am whipped, but its all good.
wife………that was suppose to be between My and thought…….dang time for bed.
I think it’s meant to be ironic, sort of like the title of an album by the Smiths or the Clash.
Album titles mean little unless they live forever such as . . .The Wall or Sympathy for the Devil or Dark Side of the Moon. ‘ For Your Entertainment ‘ conjures up all kinds of mysterious, freak show, burlesque kinds of intros. . . it works.
Burlesque? Mystery? It makes me think of the musical gypsy, and the little girl singing “Let Me Entertain You.” Or, the old MGM musicals, and the documentaries that they used to do, called, “That’s Entertainment.” All of which pretty much goes with Adam’s style.
Hello? The Rolling Stones never named any of their albums ‘Sympathy For The Devil’.
