I think daughtry works with country. There’s something about goats in the country. There’s something about goats with daughtry’s voice…it works.
Daughtry and Vince Gill? Doesn’t sound like a good match-up….then again, isn’t this the same awards show that gave us the Taylor Swift/Def Leppard tragedy? I’m hyped for Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert and Lady A tho- good job CMA’s!
I love that song, Tennessee Line, it’s one of my favorites off of Daughtry’s new CD. I can’t wait to hear it live.
Definitely a good move for Daughtry!! His second CD, while selling well and spending a couple weeks atop the Billboard 200, has undersold when compared with the first CD. I think Daughtry would be smart to transition to country in order to lengthen his career. He’s too good of a talent to merely disappear after only 2 CDs.
Will definitely watch the show. Carrie will be hosting & performing, and Daughtry is performing??? love it! And Tennessee line is one of my faves from the band’s second cd.
My only hope is that right after Daughtry and Vince sing the first verse, Toby Keith jumps onstage and kicks the little American Idol phony’s butt back to AC Radio where he sort of belongs. He’s no more country than he is rock, and the real rockers laugh in his face. Country don’t want AC/rocks leftovers.
