Rachel Nichols (Star Trek) and Jackson Hurst (Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva) are starring in indie romance The Loop. Margaret Whitton makes her feature directorial debut with the project based on a script adapted by Roger Towne (The Natural) based on Joe Coomer’s 1992 novel. The cast also features Linda Emond, James Gammon, Buck Henry, Matte Osian, and Rocco Sisto. The plot follows a New Mexico highway patrolman, obsessed with a mysterious talking parrot, whose world collides with a free-spirited college librarian. The Loop starts shooting next month.
