I was wondering what was going on. I thought UB might end up in mid-season, so it’s good to know it’s just delayed a couple of weeks.

We’ve pretty much figured at this point we might as well count this as Ugly Betty’s final season. It’s funny because I always figured it would end because America Ferrera would tire of the role first not because it got yanked.

Maybe with the changes on Betty (new glasses, braces off mid-season, hairstyle, less mismatched patterns), it will help the ratings, if it stayed on Thursdays. But moving to Fridays is not a good sign. :( I’ll be disappointed, it’s still one of my faves!

ABC should move it to Tuesdays at 8 and replace Shark Tank, it would go up against NCIS, but it should do better than what it will on Friday nights.

Come ON!!! I want my show back on NOW!!!

  • Sad Betty

I figure moving it to Friday is the kiss of death. It makes me sad because I’ve watched Betty from the beginning. It’s supposed to premiere in two weeks but there’s been no promotion whatsoever. Why not throw an ad into FlashForward?

    • Gina

Exactly. I have seen one ad for it. And, that was on Friday night, after Ugly Betty had already aired. I missed it completely and just watched it on the internet.

  • Nancy

I am already tired of the doctor/nurse shows. I want “Ugly Betty” back.

  • Kelly

I’ve been a fan since day one–but as soon as I heard about the Friday timeslot I knew ABC had given up on it–I have to say I am shocked by the lack of ads though.

  • Scott

yeah..they sent this show to friday’s to die. We will be lucky if it doesn’t get cancelled mid season. I have to say however..last season was pretty weak, and the show has pretty much run it’s course. That being said..I will still be watching til the bitter end.

  • T”ina

DAMMIT! I was sooo excited for next fri!!!!

  • Carmen

Thanks ABC I was really looking forward to watching the season premiere on 10/9 now you have moved it to 10/16 when I cannot watch it and cannot DVR it because I am without one at the moment. Why don’t you just cancel the show since you have so little faith in it.

What a great, dynamic, sweet, funny, emotional show. My sister and I both love the show. Even my fiance loves the show. Even my 40 something friend loves the show. What’s going on? Is there not enough crappy shows on now and you have to delay this? This show is great. Keep it on!

  • jfms777

My friend worked as an extra and the crew told the extras this is the last
season. No big surprise. I am surprised it lasted this long.

  • Amanda

If this is the last season I hope Betty and Daniel both get their happily ever afters.

  • PMD

You know what is funny earlier this evening I was thinking that when I got back home I would watch me some Betty and then I realised it would be next week and I was sooo excited!!! Now this just bums me out!! I actually really, really liked the show! And I know there were a lot of complaints last season but I liked it! I hope ABC execs aren’t hanging out with the dumba**es at CW.

  • EnoughAlready

Cancel this show already… after 3 seasons this show is a broken record. People grow and learn after 1 year, yet alone 3, so you think after working a “fashion” magazine even “Ugly Betty” clever as she is would stop being grotesque… and YES she is grotesque not ULGY! And please as if anyone (that is not blind) find her attractive enough to date, even the geek and freaks have standards. And her family, they are not endearing just annoying.

  • Shaniqua

Go to abc.com (under contact us section) and put a complaint about delaying the show’s premier. When they see so many fans complainting they’ll know that fans DO care about the show and yet they don’t care about us.

ABC clearly has decided that this is the final season. ABC has no interest in the show; it has scheduled it on a dead night, has no interest in promoting it, and the cancellation clock is ticking. Too bad- it’s one of the best written and acted shows on television. Maybe once they get rid of it, ABC can schedule a fourth nigh of “Dancing With the Stars, or some other piece of reality crap – WOO-HOO, A-B-C: Announcing Betty’s Cancellation

  • Sandy

I love this program and if ABC chooses a program to cancel it should be Grey’s Anatomy for it’s sloppy writing and storylines as of late. Betty deserves to stay on. It’s just too bad that ABC is burying it with the Friday night showing. It always left me waiting for the following Thursday’s episode to see what happens. Keep Betty on.

The thought of Ugly Betty leaving the air saddens me… it is one of the only good fun shows that you can watch with your children during the week’s evenings…rather than every other series that has episodes of rape, homicide,SEX and all other displays of the violence we already have to experience in reality, let alone have to watch on tv… I remember watching shows like Save By The Bell, ALF, Quantum leap with my mother that had a true lessoning at the end to learn from… May we learn from series like Ugly Betty that we need to have shows on every week to watch with our children to have something to look foward to during the week to be able to sit with our children on the couch and have a laugh and a lesson… Thanks America Ferrera

  • Christel

I am looking forward to the new season of Ugly Betty. I like the light humor and it is different from the rest of the shows on TV. I will be taping the show since I work on Fridays which I prefer anyhow because then I don’t have to put up with all the commercials. That’s what the partying crowd should do as well, no reason to cancel a show just because it airs on a Friday!

  • Loly

i don’t care what day or what time they show it, i am still going to watch the show, i love it i have all 3 seasons, this show could never get boring.. Keep up the good work

  • Gina

does anyone know what song played at the end of the season premiere. It was playing when betty was in the town car.
