The actress and hostess of Bravo’s Top Chef announced today that she is expecting her first child.
Lakshmi, who was previously married to renowned author Salman Rushdie, did not identify the father, though she has spoken publicly about her longtime struggle with endometriosis, a condition involving painful menstrual cycles and uterine scarring that often results in difficulty conceiving.

Good for her. I noticed a little bump at the emmys but I thought it was from her job.

I thought so! I know she usually gains a little weight during Top Chef, but I noticed at the Emmy’s that she looked a wee bit pregnant. Congratulations… please let it be Tom Collichio’s baby, haha!!!

I have severe endometriosis too so I know what a miracle it is to be pregnant. I wish her a healthy pregnancy and delivery, I already know the baby will be beautiful!!

I watched an interview on Bravo this past weekend where Andy Cohen stutteringly admitted he was the father and that he and Padma were an item. He looked rather uncomfortable.
