Variety reports that EW contributor Stephen King will turn his novella The Colorado Kid into an hour-long series for independent production company E1 Entertainment, which worked on Hung. King’s new project, to be titled Haven, is about a spooky town in Maine where cursed people andsupernatural forces are investigated by FBI agent Audrey Parker. King will work with most of the team from his USA series The Dead Zone. E1 has already committed to producing 13 episodes of Haven.

Barry Sonnenfeld planning superhero mom comedy at ABC
Barry Sonnenfeld (Pushing Daisies) is planning a half-hour comedy with ABC, Variety reports. The multi-camera show will be about a mother who gets superpowers from a special suit. Laura House (George Lopez) will write the script.
Craig Wright, Mark Burnett plan new CBS drama
Dirty Sexy Money creator Craig Wright is working with reality TV kingpin Mark Burnett for a new drama series at CBS, The Hollywood Reporter reveals. The untitled project is about a lawyer who survives a car crash and gets a second chance at life with the help of his ex-wife’s ghost.
Warner Music in talks for new YouTube deal
The Associated Press reports that Warner Music Group has agreed to return songs and music videos from its artists to YouTube. According to an AP source, the deal would invovle Warner getting a bigger share of ad revenue. Warner had imposed a boycott of YouTube after a dispute about “unfair terms” starting in December.
Leonardo DiCaprio set for mystery 'The Deep Blue Goodbye'
Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star in mystery The Deep Blue Goodbye, with Peter Chernin now coming on board to produce at 20th Century Fox, Variety reports. In the adaptation of the John D. MacDonald novel, DiCaprio will play Travis McGee, a beach bum who finds danger and romance as a “salvage consultant.” Chernin will also produce action thriller Man and Wife and female assassin story Queen & Country.
Patrick Swayze private memorial planned for Sunday
Variety reports that a private memorial for Patrick Swayze will be held Sunday at Sony Studios in Culver City, Calif. Donations can be made to Stanford University’s Patrick Swayze Pancreas Cancer Research Fund or Stand Up to Cancer. A previous memorial was held Sept. 19 in Lake Lure, N.C., where Dirty Dancing was shot. Swayze passed away on Sept. 14 at the age of 57.
Julianne Nicholson to replace Parker Posey in 'This'
Julianne Nicholson (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) will step in for an ailing Parker Posey in the Melissa James Gibson play This, Variety reports. Posey is reportedly ill with Lyme disease. Nicholson is free to take the role thanks to her exit from Criminal Intent, where she is to be replaced by Saffron Burrows. This opens December 2.
Hugh Dancy and Claire Danes tie the knot
Actors Hugh Dancy and Claire Danes got married a few weeks ago, People.com reports. The couple, who wed in France, met on the set of the 2007 drama Evening. Danes came to prominence as the star of My So Called Life and Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, while American audiences know Dancy from his roles in Confessions of a Shopaholic and The Jane Austen Book Club.
