Tags: ,

Music documentary Michael Jackson: This Is It advance screenings sold out within two hours Sunday, with fans lining up as early as three days prior to snag their share of the 3,000 tickets to the Los Angeles showings, the AP reports. While the movie opens nationwide Oct. 28, the new Regal Cinemas Stadium 14 will celebrate its grand opening by showing it on all 14 screens. The film, directed by choreographer Kenny Ortega, culls from hundreds of hours of footage of Jackson rehearsing before his June 25 death for a series of comeback concerts he had planned to do in London.

People are so dumb about this. Obviously the film will run longer than 2 weeks once it makes a ton of dough. I guarantee the words “extended engagement” will be in the advertising. It makes little sense to take a popular film off the market. I just can’e believe that people would pay money to see this very creepy person.

Jeff – MJ was a person and regardless of what you or anyone thinks of him he was very talented; one of the worlds greatest entertainers. He touched lot of lives through his gifts of song and dance as well as through his many charitable contributions. Of course people want to see him, that doesn’t make them dumb ….it just makes you insensitive.

I agree, he was talented, but he was also very mentally ill and he was a pedophile among other things. I don’t care how talented he was, I would never give a pedophile (or a pedophile’s estate) a single cent. I think it’s funny that people turn a blind eye to the fact that this person was very, very sick in the head. Let’s see, off the top of my head; depression, panic attacks, anorexia, pedophila, OCD, drug addict borderline personality disorder…

Oops, I almost forgot, body dysmorphic disorder.

Well am a physician and being mentally ill doesnt make a person less human. Its this kind of stigma people like you put on them that makes it difficult for people with the disease to come forward and even family members are so ashamed of any member afflicted with the disease.I was in europe for a conference last month and the only thing they wanted to talk about was michaels demise.whether you like it or not he touched a lot of people thru his music.
He may or may not be a pedophile.we can never know it is between him and GOD,obviously he had some inappropriate relationship with children but people forget to blame the parents of those kids.I would never leave my kids alone with any adult talkless of one with questionable reputation and I would never collect money from someone who abused my child.I would fight with the last drop of blood to get the right justice.
He obviously had body dysmorphic disorder so does many people in hollywood Joan rivers come to mind and I dont see the press attacking her.
He had a lot of issues like so many extremely talented people and millions of people who loved him are able to separate his talents from his eccentricities and celebrate his music,so I think it is rude of you to call them dumb

WTF…you can think your pedophilia thing, fine. But to discredit him for depression, panic attacks and other mental illnesses is pretty screwed up. I’m so thankful to hear you’ve gone through life without encountering any of these in yourself or in the people around you.

No one is turning a blind eye..but personally I don’t blindly believe everything that is reported in the media. There are three side to every story – his side, what the media reports and then the truth.
Yes, he did have a lot of problems. A lot of people today have those same problems that you mentioned. But they don’t have the media’s eye judging them and scrutinizing every move they make. I am not defending him but you can never know what someone is going through or their story until you walk in their shows or at least try to look at things from their perspsective. I think he paid a price for his fame and success that made him the person he was.
As far as him being a pedophile, I don’t know…. Because if that truly did happen to my child..no amount of money that you give me would be enough for me to make the case disappear. I would want to see you in jail actually under the jail. There isn’t enough money for me to let go if that happend to my child. I would prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. Not just take some money and disappear.

just because a person is accused of a crime, does not mean a person in guilty of a crime. MJ was acquitted. He’s 100% innocent.

Michael Jackson did not trust most adults in dealing with him but he trusted every kid and forgot to realize that innocence of children can often times be corrupted by an elder or parents esp for monetary reasons…He was naive with his dealings with kids because he failed to mature himself. A kid dying of cancer begged to see him…a dying wish and whole heartedly MJ gave into that trap…BS even invited the entire family into his palace…suckers!!! True enough…Bloody hell made millions of money out of him…If it was me I’d kill all of them….but MJ had fallen deeper into depression instead of fighting back…suffered in silence…
