Michael Jackson fans will be singing his newest song two weeks before his behind-the-scenes documentary, This Is It, comes out on Oct. 27. Sony will release the single, “This Is It,” on Oct. 12, and a two-disc album featuring classic Jackson tunes will follow on the day of the film’s release. The first disc of This Is It, the album, will include two versions of the new single, and many of Jackson’s greatest hits, arranged as they will appear in the film. (Jackson’s brothers provided the backing vocals on the new song.) The second disc will be composed of previous unreleased versions of Jackson’s classic singles and a poem entitled “Planet Earth.”

I can’t wait to listen to the single. I am so excited to see the movie and I will totally pick up the cd once it’s released. MJ will forever be the best !!!
I can’t wait, but I know his new music will make me so sad. Just watching the trailer made me sad. And you know what, for those who say they’re “beating a dead cash cow” — yeah to an extent, they are. But I really do think that if this is the only way it could be, this is what Michael would have wanted. He wanted to do films — his last major work has become a film. He wanted to do 50 (ha, AEG says he wanted to do 50) sold out concerts in London — now the whole world will be able to see his last concert. As much as I don’t want to watch a bunch of phony execs making a dime off Michael anymore, if just some of the money from his posthumous music and movie sales winds up in the hands of his mother and children – especially his children – I would willingly pay to see this movie and buy the soundtrack multiple times over. Say I’m wrong, but a part of me feels that this is the best his fans can do for his legacy now that he is gone. Respect.
Like I said in the other article, this is typical Hollywood tactics, but I feel Michael Jackson would have released some of this if he were alive anyway, so I say let them be released, by next year we will be moving along but never let his legacy die.

After his death the Jackson brothers go into the studio and adding backing vocals to this unreleased track so they will share in any awards the song wins and royalties. Thats good that his new song This is it is coming out on October 17th.But its sad that he isnt Alive Anymore.Michael Jackson was a great Entertainer.I liked his videos like Bad back in 1987.The Way you make me feel Back in 1988.Dirty Diana Back in 1988.Also Black or white Back in 1991.Also In the Closet Back in 1992.Also the Scream video Back in 1995 Featuring his sister Janet.They worked great Together back then
