Penn and Teller head to ABC for scripted hour based on their life

Categories: News, Television

Comedy-illusionist duo Penn and Teller are working on a one-hour comedy based on their lives for ABC, according to Variety. The network has committed to a script order for a series that will find the pair starring as Las Vegas magicians at night and reluctant detectives during the day. Penn and Teller have completed seven seasons of their Showtime series, Bullshit!, which finds them debunking myths, conspiracies, and misconceptions, and they’ve appeared in scripted series such as Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Babylon 5, and The West Wing. The move marks a return to ABC for Penn, who recently appeared on Dancing with the Stars.
