Christopher Hampton to adapt 'Netherland' for Oprah Winfrey, Sam Mendes

Christopher Hampton (Atonement) is writing the adaptation of Joseph O’Neill novel Netherland, with an eye for Sam Mendes to direct. Variety reports that Focus Features is working with Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productoins and Sam Mendes’ Neal Street Productions to make the feature film. The acclaimed novel is about a Dutch expat in New York City who is drawn to an immigrants’ cricket league.

    I say that oprah winfrey should go back/do movies.Just like she did back in 1985.Also Oprah winfrey needs to Retire.Her Talk show needs to end.Its time for someone new. Like La Toya Jackson.I like her.I say that she needs to Take Dr murray to court for letting her Brother Michael die.On June 25th 2009.Cardiac Arrest.
