I’m really excited. I love Adam! I understand why people are disappointed that they might not be rotating judges, but if they keep choreographers off the judging table, then they’ll be able to, well, choreograph. And I for one would rather see a dance from Mia Michaels than see her judge.

The worst part of this show is the Mary Murphy scream fest. Why is that allowed. I just think the producers are afraid of her, what else could it be????? I like Adam and think he will be great for the show.
I agree with everyone – I looove Adam!! I was hoping that meant we can get rid of Nigel. He’s turned into little more than a dirty old man. I’m tired of him giving commercials for how fabulous SYTYCD is when I’m already watching the show!

Love Adam. How about replacing Mary Murphy with Mia. That way no more ear shattering screams that ruin the show.

For what it’s worth, Nigel has gone on the record as thinking the four judges on American Idol doesn’t work — he’s said he’s not a fan. So I am hoping like mad that he applies that to his own show.
And glad it’s Adam. If it were Tyce? I might have to stop watching. He’s so irritating and tries so hard to be funny…when he isn’t.
Wow. That’s disappointing. He’s the worst “rotating” judge they have. He already acts like he owns the joint…I can’t imagine what he’s going to be like when he’s actually there every week.

You know what? Paula Abdul comports herself better than Mary Murphy (with those horrible screams) – so I would prefer Adam and Paula as judges and Mary Murphy gone.
Great choice. This really demonstrates the difference between AI and SYTYCD: Whereas AI has named a comedian who knows nothing and adds nothing but “star appeal” to its judging panel, SYTYCD has chosen someone with expertise in dance who has a proven track record of giving meaningful critiques and maintaining the balance between being honest and encouraging the contestants.

I was so excited when I heard this news. Last season I actually told my mom during the show that they should switch out Mary for Adam. At least I got part of my wish. If only Mary were out of the picture…
