Variety reports that Craig Ferguson close to signing a deal with CBS and Worldwide Pants to renew his Late Late Show contract through the 2011-2012 season. Meanwhile, Ferguson’s memoir American on Purpose: The Improbable Adventures of an Unlikely Patriot is out on Sept. 22.
