During the season premiere of her syndicated talk show today, Tyra Banks agreed to include celebrity blogger Perez Hilton in a future episode of America’s Next Top Model if he lays off celebrity kids in his popular yet polarizing blog. ”Being a celebrity, we put ourselves out there to be picked on,” explained Banks, “but I do feel that when you are a kid of a celebrity, I don’t feel they should be put in the public to be made fun of, they should be protected.”
Hilton, who reportedly taped the episode last month, was only willing to take a one-month hiatus from kid bashing, but after an on-camera negotiation with Banks that started with her asking for a year-long freeze, the duo agreed that he’d avoid catty comments about underage kids for six months. Ironically, the episode aired only a few weeks after Hilton took Demi Moore’s 15-year-old daughter Tallulah to task on his Twitter page for wearing a low-cut top. Moore responded with a Tweet of her own, saying “Clearly Perez Hilton isn’t taking violating child pornography laws very seriously.”
Earlier in the show today, Hilton attempted to explain his blogging style by saying he writes mean things “on purpose to get a rise out of people” but he insists that it’s not the real him. “It is humor or my interpretation of it,” Hilton said. “It’s easy. It’s easy. I shine the light on celebrities.”

I encourage anyone who feels as strongly as many of you appear to about Perez Hilton to put words into action. The only way he will “stop being famous” is if people do not visit his website, do not buy brands he is associated with (Warner Music, The Gap) and write to shows like Tyra’s to voice your displeasure about them booking him in the first place.
I don’t visit his site anymore. Haven’t since April and will never visit it again.

I saw the pic Hilton was talking about. The first words that came to my mind was sleezebag. Don’t care how young or old someone is. Seeing half of someone’s breasts makes me think she’s an easy & advertising her availability.
What about the photographer who took the photo, and the company who bought it and let it be published? Or how about you for looking at that trash? The blame shouldn’t be on the girl because you think her outfit is too provocative, but on all of us for allowing her to be objectified because of her appearance.
What about the parent of the child who allows the child to dress so provocatively?
No, the blame shouldn’t be on the child as the child doesn’t have the experience to know better. A parent does. A parent does not absolve responsibility simply because the child decides what she wants to do.
It’s not just Tallulah…it’s Miley too. Long before them it was Britney. Long before her it was Madonna.
The girls aren’t “asking for it.” It would be irresponsible of any of us to utter such a thing. The parents are the ones who show little respect for the welfare of their child if they allow such idiocy to happen. I’m not saying the girls need to be dressed in Victorian area garb. I’m just saying there’s a way to be tasteful.
