Disney will unspool Tron Legacy on Dec. 17, 2010, the same weekend that Sony will bow The Green Hornet starring Seth Rogen, according to Variety. Fan boys got a chance to screen clips of the special effects-heavy Tron Legacy at Comic-Con this summer.

The trailer shown at Comic-Con was not from the upcoming film and it was also shown over a year ago. It was created as a way to generate potential interest in doing another Tron film. Fortunately the plan worked.
