AMC announced today that it has renewed Mad Men for a fourth season. The third season of the hit cable show, which premiered on Aug. 16 to a record 4.5 million viewers, recently received 16 Emmy nominations — the most for any drama series.
“We always saw the potential for Mad Men, and believed in and supported the series because of our strategy of developing cinematic television that complements our library of the most entertaining movies, from every genre, on television. It’s been extremely gratifying to see the show develop into such a pop cultural phenomenon with such a passionate fan base,” Charlie Collier, president and general manager of AMC, said in a statement. “With this early fourth season renewal, we’re excited to let our audience know the captivating world of Sterling Cooper will be back on AMC again next year.”

Awesome!
w00t!
THAT’S TOPS!
Simply….WONDERFUL!
Well, Hell’s Bells, Trudy!
Great!!!
However, I hate it when they say the premiere episode got 4.5 million viewers when that includes 2 repeat airings. A lot of people must have watched it again. An asterisk is needed next to that number.
Everyone do an awkward Pete Campbell happy dance to celebrate!
That calls for a drink and a cigarette!
A truly original series I really love……the acting is awesome…..writing is terrific….and the look is even more enticing….the 60′s…..feels like it…
The renewal is great news, but I think you mean the *second* season was nominated for 16 Emmys; the third season’s on right now.
I’ll drink to that! Tchin!
