Pop-punk band Blink-182 announced today via their MySpace page that, “due to circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely passing of our dear friend Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein,” the group is canceling its performance tonight at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga, New York. ”Performances by Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French will take place as planned along with some special surprises,” the statement continued. “We thank all of our fans for their support in this tough time.”

Paramount: 'Thor,' 'Iron Man 2' still coming despite Marvel sale
Paramount Pictures issued a statement today in the wake of Marvel Studios’ sale to Disney, reported earlier. The $4 billion deal won’t affect Paramount’s distribution arrangement for five upcoming films, the studio announced, including the highly anticipated Iron Man 2 and Thor. “Paramount Pictures has enjoyed a productive and fruitful relationship with Marvel Studios from the start of our distribution agreement in 2005,” the statement began. “So much so, we announced a five-picture slate distribution deal last year which includes worldwide distribution rights for upcoming films: Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, Avengers, and Iron Man 3. This distribution deal will be unaffected by today’s transaction. We look forward to continuing to work with Marvel and, with today’s announcement, to working with Disney to replicate the incredible success of Iron Man on all our future collaborative projects.”
Renee Zellweger uninjured in car crash
Renee Zellweger is fine after a collision in Beverly Hills this morning, People.com reports. “A green Ford Explorer made an illegal U-turn in front of her silver Mercedes,” Lieut. Tony Lee said. “Ms. Zellweger was not injured, the damage to her car was very minor. She was very polite and sincere.” Zellweger reportedly had her car towed from the scene, then took a cab.
Disney buying Marvel for $4 billion
The Walt Disney Company announced via press release that it is set to acquire Marvel Entertainment. The Associated Press reports that Disney is spending $4 billion in cash and stock for Marvel and full rights to its 5,000 characters, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, and many more.

'Glee' releasing first-season soundtracks
Columbia Records will release multiple soundtracks from the upcoming first season of Fox’s Glee, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Glee: The Music, Volume 1, featuring cast covers of songs by artists from Neil Diamond to Kanye West, will be available Nov. 3. The Glee cast’s cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” from the May pilot, was an iTunes smash.
'Bad Boys 3' brewing at Columbia
Columbia Pictures has commissioned a screenplay for Bad Boys 3, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Peter Craig (The Town) is writing the script; though neither Bad Boys/Bad Boys II director Michael Bay, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, nor stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have deals in place, the studio hopes all will return.
Nicolas Cage starring in 3D action pic 'Drive Angry'
Nicolas Cage will star in a 3D action film called Drive Angry, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film is a gory revenge fantasy involving an extended car chase which reportedly “leav[es] bodies strewn along the highway.” Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine 3D) will direct.
