Categories: Movies, News

Sylvester Stallone will direct and star in a fifth chapter of the Rambo franchise, Variety reports. The film’s plot will involve a kidnapping near the U.S.-Mexico border. Production begins next spring. Stallone revived the character after 20 years for last year’s Rambo.

Wow! Stallone’s bringing back Rambo. The 500 feature in the series. Yet, the Arrested Development movie is still in standby. Go figure.

Rambo and Rocky Balboa (Rambo IV and Rocky VI) redeemed Sly after each series’ previous letdown, but he probably should let them both go out on a high note. Wish him the best of luck with it though.

    Please stop now.

Why is he doing this? The last film has such a perfect ending to the series with Rambo walking down the road to his family’s farm. It was as though the audience was being told that Rambo had finally worked through all of his personal demons and was able to return home, a place he had been unable to return to since the beginning of the series. Why is Sly destroying that perfect ending?

I love Rambo! If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. Easy as that. I for one, am super psyched. I was super psyched for the last one too. I’m sort of hoping it will be more like the orginals where it’s just him fighting entire army’s worth of people. The mercenaries in the last one kinda stole some of Rambo’s thunder.

Rocky ended perfect and I hope he doesn’t write another one. Rambo’s last outing was great but Rambo’s the kind of character you can bring back because I really never picture Rambo going back home and simple living in peace. No Rambo will find a reason to fight, that’s what he does. Just like some others said, if you don’t like it, dont watch it.

The 4th Rambo, despite its ridiculousness, was pretty cool, but I agree that the franchise shouldn’t be continued for much longer. Otherwise, it’s going to turn as oversaturated as many of Hollywood’s biggest franchises.

heck yeah Rambo is the S**T
