MTV is developing an American version of 'Skins'

Categories: News, Television

MTV is planning to remake the cult TV show Skins, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The original British version of the show, which concerns the lives of a group of teenagers, is notable for its foul-mouthed scripts and depictions of drug use.

It’s also very well written and fot the first two years the cast had great chemistry. One of the cast was Dev Patel. I’m sure MTVs version will water it down and will be awful. Its MTV.

As shocking and scandulous the media makes the show out to be, the characters were actually very sympathetic and funny and human. The Jal & Chris storyline was heartbreaking. Hope the new version retains all of that.

    boo bad!
America, please STOP trying to remake Brit TV shows.
    it almost always ends badly.
My perennial go-to example: NBC’s pathetic and humorless and poorly cast attempt at Coupling.
    cringe-worthy.
