The Lifetime-Project Runway marriage is off to a promising start. According to Nielsen Research, last night’s premiere of the sixth season earned a 3.3 rating in households (a 32% increase from the season five premiere on Bravo) and a 3.2 rating among women 18-29 (a 28% increase). With an average of 4.2 million total viewers, it was the highest-rated premiere for both Runway and the 25-year-old Lifetime. It was also was the highest-rated premiere for a cable competition reality series this year.
Meanwhile, Runway’s new spinoff, Models of the Runway, premiered to a 1.4 rating among women 18-49 and a 1.6 household rating for an average of 1.9 million total viewers. The two-hour special Project Runway: All-Star Challenge, which kicked off the Runway-themed night, secured a 2.2 rating with women 18-49 and a 2.3 household rating. It averaged 2.9 million total viewers.
This is still sitting in my Tivo . .guess I need to catch it ASAP before any spoilers come out!
Everything else was a rerun. Its only competition was LA Ink.
I will always love project runway no matter what station it is on. Just as long as they don’t change the host, logo and judges. lol. I love Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum.
This is going to be a great season. The one thing I miss is reading Tim Gunn’s blog after the show.

I loved Project Runway in past seasons. I looked forward to the new season and All Star show. PR may have had great ratings for the premier show, but after the results of the All Star show, they may lose some viewers.
I was so happy w/ the winner of the All Stars (won’t say the name since at least one here hasn’t seen it). I didn’t need to be reminded how much I hate Santino. He is still a talentless, arrogant, loud mouth, ass. I don’t believe a word he said about his success. And Jeffrey looked like an ugly porn star. I wonder if he supports his son now that he has dumped his old girlfriend and hooked up w/ someone new?
Love the cast of the new show, esp. since they eliminated the nutcase!!! And poor Mitchell…I am anxious to see what he really is capable of. It’s gonna be a fun season!!
I was equally over the moon about the winner of the All Star Challenge. I would have worn any one of those outfits, they were really fab.
And yeah, as Missy Schartz said, not to get all US Weekly, but I preferred Jeffrey’s old girlfriend. Their band stinks.
