George Clooney is planning to sue a paparazzo photographer and two magazines for taking private photos of the actor’s Italian home, according to TMZ. A photographer allegedly climbed the wall of Clooney’s home and took photos of a 13-year-old girl who was changing in one of the star’s guest bedrooms, as well as photos of Clooney and his girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis. The images were then reportedly published in two magazines.
“I don’t know about the law in the United States, but in Italy it’s illegal for photographers to climb over my wall and to take long-lens pictures of a 13-year-old girl in her bedroom,” Clooney said in a statement. “I draw the line of privacy at that.” Clooney’s rep confirmed to EW that the actor is taking legal action.

Shouldn’t the US and Italy be switched? Wouldn’t he know the law in the US?
Even though I do think it’s wrong of the paparazzi to take these photos, I find it really hard to take George Clooney seriously when he himself sees women as objects instead of equals. He is a total loser.

To lindsey: How do you know Clooney sees women as objects? Do you know him? How could you possibly know that? By that statement, I can tell you simply don’t like Clooney for whatever that reason might be. Grow up! Also, a 13 year old girl is not a woman. This photographer took a photo of a minor getting changed in her room. THAT IS NOT RIGHT!!
That’s pretty bad when the paparazzi in any country climb over the wall of anyone’s home to take pictures. I don’t care who it is. The walls of your property are supposed to be the boundry.
What’s worse is the guy’s taking pictures of a 13 year old girl and thinking he can get away with, not to mention the two magazines for publshing that.
I feel bad for mr. cloneey to go with all this bad things for being star only. It is choice of job to do but no need for life to be completely open to world like this. Why papparazi do this? Because some like to see lifes of stars outside the tv or screen. To stop this, for me, i do not buy those gabrage magzines in stores.
I am glad that Clooney is taking action against these people. This kind of thing needs to stop. Regardless of your opinion of Clooney, he did the right thing.

To actually climb over the wall and take pics is horrible and I feel for the 13 year old girl. Unfortunately, from a distance she could have been mistaken for George’s much younger new “girlfriend” who has plenty of topless photos out there.
It would still an absolute violation to take photos of his girlfriend changing, no matter how many topless photos she has out there. These men should be hung by their balls. Using a long lens to film a child? We need international laws to protect these people.
How does anyone even know this story is true? If you ask me it’s just a neatly placed redeeming story to make you forget that Elisabetta Canalis has a video out there with baby batter being shot into her face while she licks it off her lips. This isn’t whitewash. This damage control to his reputation while he has a family movie due out any moment and another pic soon to follow. This “Very Private Gentleman” was about to be made into a Very Public Hypocrite by the sleazy piece of meat he’s currently and consensually bashing nasties with. The first thing that came to my mind is how fake this whole story is and look at all the knuckleheads falling for it …. exactly what his publicist wanted you to do.
I say go for it George if the story is true take the paps and the magazines for everything they have and bring them down. It is totally wrong wat the paparazzo’s get away with.
