According to the Hollywood Reporter, Valkyrie scribe, Christopher McQuarrie (who won an Oscar for his The Usual Suspects screenplay) has been hired to write the script for the sequel to this summer’s X-Men spinoff, Wolverine. Hugh Jackman, also a producer on the franchise, approached McQuarrie with an idea for a storyline based on a popular run of the comics in which Wolverine goes to Japan, trains as a Ninja, and struggles with his animal instincts.
