I suppose the fact that by breaking down the categories so much thereby diminishing “winning” is completley lost on the screaming mimi set.

    • Raj

it’s all about the bling of the award hardware…of course the more the better

    • Phnam Ngyuen

i says this two many times on the ew cites, but why all love for vampyres and wolfs and evil things like these thins? how come young like so much love of scarey aminals?

  • Wes

Do you read these categories. By the way since when did the teen choice awards become worthy of anything more than a polite joke oh yeah when they voted for Twilight. When are you all going to realize twilight sucks. So many categories god I’m surprised i didn’t win one the odds are in my favor…I made a low end you tube movie with a total of 3 DOZEN hits. TWILIGHT SUCKS

    • TM29

I think you may be a little too wound up for a Monday, there, Wes.

    • JoyB

If you don’t like it you don’t have to watch it. As long as so many are enjoying it so much I would say your comments are just sour grapes.

    • Amy

take a deep breath- it is going to be okay.

      • johnny

        hahaha that was awesome

      • Kimberly

The whole “Teen Choice” thing was really lame. Tweens maybe. It came off as a huge ad. Only the winners were there, if that. The Miley pole dance thing was awkward to watch.

    • jay257

Sandy did you even see the same clips I did she was holding onto it as it was pushed along the stage. she was standing on a hotdog cart prop. Need to tone down your prudish and conservative thoughts

      • Alyssa

Yes, she was holding onto it, but did you not see the way she was dancing and the clothes she was wearing? You have to be blind not to see that connection. And her comments were not prudish and conservative. Women, especially not girls her age, should not be paraded around on a stage wearing bottoms that do not pass for shorts and a bra while holding on to a pole and swinging your butt around.

    • lisa

Miley’s parents actually looked proud of her outfit and pole dancing! The good thing that came out of it was that my 10yr old said that she is ashamed that she liked Miley and she learned that the girl can’t sing!!! I don’t have to listen to Miley in my house anymore!!!!!!!

      • marissa

Congrats.I’m happy to hear that one
10-year-old girl is smart enough see how awful Miley Cyrus is.

    • Haley

before the teen choice awards I was hearing all the news shows talk about the stripper pole. To be honested while watching the show, it just seemed like something that she could hold on to. It in know way looked like she was trying to ‘strip.’

    • Glenn

I could not agree anymore. I have many nieces and nephews and the rest of the youths that look up to her. She has taken herself down to the stature of Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan, both of them past award winners. The Teen Awards are voted on by mostly 9 -13 yr. olds. So I guess the award show is saying the we should raise strippers and prostitutes. Whatever happened to developing the minds of the young. I guess it is more important what you do than what you are. I am appauled beyond all belief. Cirus is 16!!! I have always had problems with her parents and the decision that they have made. I have always been an advocate for children. I myself have experience running a Boys and Girls Club of America. This footage is a new low for what is being shown on television.

  • Maureen

Holy crap! There are like, 200 awards! And the whole thing was dominated by “Twilight” and Disney Channel stars… big surprise. Oh, and the fact that there’s a category called “Choice Twit…” Well, I don’t really think there is much I can say about that.

    • celia

I’m shocked they actually have a category entitled “choice celebrity baby?!” WTF?!

  • Ariel

Thanks Teen Choice Awards – Britney Spears is the best role model for your “tweeners” Hope most will as “chemically imbalanced” has their HERO. Wonderful choice and wonderful example of self promotion

    • Alyssa

Totally agree. I can’t believe they let her on the stage. Everyone knows the kind of crap she’s gotten herself into and yet they parade her on the stage as a “role model” (as miley cyrus put it).

  • Raj

So where is the catagory of best racially insensitive star – how about most likely to offended an minority population.

It’s not self promotion Ariel – it corporate sponsorship of boorish and immature behavior which needs to be stoked and rewarded in order for the massive influx of money on licensed products to keep flowing in to the corportate raiders that will drive this country into the pot – just as long as the pocket books of the rich and famously greed driven get what they think they deserve in life….. (oh sorry, do I need to get off my soap box now…)

  • Kate

What a load of nonsense and crap.

  • Roshie

It’s called the Teen Choice Awards. It’s geared towards teenagers, or should I say “tween-agers”. How much sense did you expect it to make? And sadly yes….courtesy of their overindulgent parents.. this is what sells as far as teenagers are concerned.

  • Sunny

GO TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAY TO GO!!!!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!

    • Robert

trying for the Choice twit award -are we – snark

  • Eric

Further proof that the Tween Choice Awards have absolutely no credibility.

  • Me

LMFAO! What the hell is the teen choice awards?! But judging by what won…it’s a show that’s primarily watched/voted on by 8 year old girls. Nice to see Harry Potter 6, Up, and X-men won something but I think UP and Harry Potter 6 might actually win an award with some kind of substance *cough* OSCAR *cough*

  • Sam

i wanted vanessa hudgens to win

  • Sam

    also kate hudson

  • Robert

Choice Male Athlete – David Beckham – has he even played significant amount of minutes on whatever team that paid way to much money for the supposed soccer superstar – wow

P.S Choice Male sounds like it should be a cut of meat ….. yummy – it’s choice…

  • Mandee

what in the heck is wrong with you people and why are you watching shows about teenagers and then complaining about how lame they are. Do you remember being a teenager and thinking that some stupid guy with bad hair walked on water? lol i love twilight buti don’t think it will win any awards that have credibility. The books were great and i enjoyed them all. But there is way too much hype and weirdness about the movies i think, but again i loved the movie as well and i cant wait for the others. Im not a teenager but i don’t see any oscars coming their way for an incredible performance.

    • Robert

There’s nothing wrong with me – just boredom – what about you – you are commenting on our comments …. snarky goes both ways

    • Blessings

Watch whatever you want – do whatever you want. That’s teaching our teens well. . . . Pole Dance with Miley. Go Teenagers Go.
