Katherine Jackson gets full custody of Michael's three children; Rowe gets visitation

A lawyer representing Katherine Jackson told The Early Show this morning that she will receive full custody of Michael Jackson’s three children. L Londell McMillian also said that the issue of Debbie Rowe, the mother of two of the children, would be detailed in a forthcoming announcement.

EW.com UPDATE: The Associated Press is offering further details of the agreement reached between Michael Jackson’s family and Debbie Rowe, the mother of his two oldest children, Prince and Paris. The deal keeps intact wishes detailed in the late pop star’s 2002 will, which –while giving Katherine Jackson full custody– will let Rowe visit with both kids in sessions to be supervised by a child psychologist. Rowe will not be financially compensated in any way, according to the terms of the deal.

They cast already includes Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, and Jessica Alba.

McConaughey and Mendes may costar in 'Southbound'

Variety is reporting that Matthew McConaughey and Eva Mendes are in talks to appear in an indie drama called Southbound. The movie concerns a patrol officer on the border between America and Mexico who puts his family in danger when he accepts a bribe.

'House' producer to redo 'Rockford Files'

Variety reports that House creator-exec producer David Shore has signed on to create an updated version of The Rockford Files for NBC. The original series, which ran from 1974-1980, starred James Garner as an ex-con private eye living in Malibu. Working with Steve Carell’s Carousel Television, Shore will reportedly bring the show to the present day while keeping the basic premise intact. NBC has yet to announce a start date for the series.

'Tron Legacy' director developing 'Oblivion'

Just days after unveiling the flashy trailer for Tron Legacy at Comic-Con, director Joseph Kosinski has announced that he is developing an action film called Oblivion based on his own idea, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The story, which follows a soldier on a desolate alien planet, will also be released as a graphic novel.

Driver in Alexis Cohen hit-and-run will plead not guilty

A lawyer for the driver accused of killing American Idol auditioner Alexis Cohen, 25, in a hit-and-run accident on July 25 says his client will enter a not guilty plea, according to People. Daniel J. Bark, 23, is currently being held on $150,000 bail for charges of charges of aggravated manslaughter, death by vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident after allegedly killing Cohen while fleeing from police in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

Diane Keaton to do sexy, untitled comedy for HBO

It looks like Diane Keaton is moving her famously quirky battle of the sexes from the big screen to the small. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-winning Annie Hall actress will do a new half-hour comedy for HBO about a Gloria Steinem-esque character who tries to jump-start national passion for the feminist movement by launching a sexually-explicit women’s magazine. Keaton will also serve as executive producer to the show, which still does not have a title.
