Michael Jackson: Ex-doc warned singer about drug use

Filed under: News and tagged: ,

One of Michael Jackson’s former physicians claims he tried to warn the pop star about the dangers of using the powerful anesthetic propofol, according to People. A lawyer for Dr. Allan Metzger –an L.A.-based rheumatologist who was Jackson’s doctor prior to 2003– claims his client told Jackson about the dangers of using the sedative during a visit to the singer’s home in April. Investigators believe Jackson was given propofol the night before his death by his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, one of four doctors whose offices have been searched in the ongoing probe into the singer’s death.

warning him? why? perhaps because he knew it was being used in the wrong way? And he like everyone else did nothing. Do none of these doctors have morals-or follow any ethical code? Are they in so tight together to get the “honor” of being a rich man’s doctor that they forget about health and just become servants at all costs? He was last his doctor in 2003 but visited him at his home in April? Let me think when I last had my doctor over for a visit, especially one I quit using 6 years ago. These doctors weren’t around to keep him healthy-they were star-struck and had his insecurities wrapped around their wallets.

Damn! how many doctors did Michael have? Is that where is money went and why he was broke?

Obviously MJ understood there was great danger as he then hired a physician for $150,000 per month. Did he have any inkling that the doctor wouldn’t save him?

It is called, “doctor shopping.” Prescription drug addicts do it all of the time. Thanks to them, legitmately sick people have to go through all kinds of hoops trying to prove we aren’t drug seeking freaks. Thanks, Michael

Notafan is one of many hateful people who wants to just blame the people with an addiction problem. I’m sure blaming them is going to just fix the problem. Until we as a society change the way we view this type of problem, there will be no solution. Why would any addict want to seek help in our society. I find it funny that we don’t blink an eye when people smoke cigarettes, speed in their automobile excessively, become obese (for non-medical reasons), lay out in the sun getting a tan (cancer), but yet we assault people with drug addiction issues. There aren’t really any differences when done regularly except one is much more painful than the others. All of them are self destructive, and part of them cause problems for others. We as a society need to create a more friendly approach for these people to get help without being viewed like they are weirdo’s or an equivalent to a criminal.
