Red-hot comedy director and producer Judd Apatow has inked a deal to write and direct three more films for Universal Pictures, according to the Hollywood Reporter. News of the deal comes a day before his third directorial venture, Funny People, opens in theaters nationwide. Despite mixed reviews from critics, the comedy-drama is still expected to make a strong showing at the box office.
