USA’s two highly successful Thursday night shows, Burn Notice and Royal Pains,have just been given the green light for new seasons by the basic cable channel, says The Hollywood Reporter. Word of the renewals come hot on the heels of July 9 stats that showed the Fox TV-produced Burn Notice and Universal Cable’s Royal Pains pulling in a strong 7.1 million and 7.3 million viewers, respectively.

USA has become our go-to channel. We’re addicted to Burn Notice. The actors, characters, story-lines… all great. And Royal Pains is fun to watch, too. Renewals= good news.

Royal Pains was pulling in higher numbers than Burn Notice for a few weeks, but Burn is back on top now as the #1 show on cable — and rightfully so.
I no longer watch the 3 major channels(cbs,nbc,abc) -all the best shows are on cable! Burn Notice, The Closer, Leverage-please never cancel them!

Since — with the exception of L&O and L&O:SVU — the major networks have basically bailed on quality programming in favor of less expensive “reality” shows, it’s ironic that the network-owned and network-affiliated cable channels that have picked up the slack. I don’t understand the economics involved, but I’m glad there’s *something* decent to watch *somewhere.* Burn Notice, Royal Pains, and In Plain Sight are the best original shows on the air today.
Love Burn Notice so Hurray!!! I erased RP so I never started watching it but I keep meaning to catch episodes online! At least one station doesn’t suck (AHEM NBC AND ABC)
Great, those two shows,and IN PLAIN SIGHT is my favorite of all. What an amazing second season it’s having! USA is the only channel i watch now. Aside from ABC when LOST is on.

USA rules with so many great shows. I was very disappointed with EW on Monday morning: Where’s the PopWatch for “In Plain Sight”? I don’t care about the counterfeiter case; I want to talk about poor Marshall and his reaction to Mary’s pending nuptials. I need to talk about it!!!
Yay for Royal Pains. I love the Hamptons backdrop, and the dialogue between the actors is “huge.” I will add Burn Notice to my lineup of tivo “to do” list

Okay, now that Burn Notice is officially pulling in twice as many viewers as Gossip Girl, how about a TV Watch all it’s own? And maybe a cover story?
USA Network has some really great shows. I’m really excited for the Burn Notice renewal because I love how it’s an action movie in every episode. I think NBC needs to pay more attention to their sister station: USA has a better grasp on quality shows than NBC. I mean if you took Chuck, The Office, and 30 Rock and put them on USA with Burn Notice, Psych, Royal Pains, etc, you’d have an unbeatable station. Even Southland, although I don’t see it fitting in with the USA atmosphere but it’s a great show as well. Anyways yay Burn Notice! Now I hope Psych get’s renewed…
