Summit Entertainment fights back against Rachelle Lefevre

I have read the statements of both Summit and from Rachelle. I have read every person’s comment (up to 7 pages now!) and it’s clear that there are some major issues. I feel truly worried about the possibility that Rachelle may not be cast in Eclipse. To anyone who has read the books you are already aware of how important her role becomes. I know that if they decide to cast Eclipse without Rachelle they will be losing an integrated part in the Twilight franchise. To potentially lose someone who has been there since the beginning, no matter how small a role so far, only to be cut from the final production is a load of crap! I think Summit needs to realize what they are doing to the fan base. Stephanie needs to step in and make Summit take notice that this is still her project. Twilight fans need to continue to show their support for Rachelle. Only then will Summit see what a mistake they have made and hopefully retract their decision before the third installment. I believe if Summit decides to go through with the casting change they will lose a ton of support of Twilight. And they will truly lose the integrity of the series.

OOOOOMMMMMYYYGGGOOOODDDD!!!!!!!!not only is summit completely overreacting but the fake victoria is the directors DAUGHTER!!do u no how bad that looks???? having personal experience with showbusiness i no how viscious it is but this is beyond my perceptions!!! if it were a bigger character i wouldn’t want to go see it! they’re just unintentionally proving that the books are SOOO much better than the films! BTW ANY OF U SAD PEOPLE WHO HAVEN’T READ THE BOOKS, I WILL FIND U.

I just don’t think the next films will be the same without Rachelle Lefevre. She brought a lot to Victoria’s character that I don’t believe anyone else can pull off. She has that charisma that the character needs and should not have been let go over a ten day scheduling conflict. She does need to make a living like everyone else does and probably thought another film would help further her career as an actress.

You are all correct, it is terrible that money is the core factor here and not the story. Rachelle should never have been fired. That said it is sad that no one has given Krisitn Stewart more help. She is a good actress but shows so little emotion. She doesn’t portray a woman in love imho It is sad how movie companies don’t work as a team,if they LISTEN to the fans, they can and WILL make money if that is the main concern.

Wow.. got it all wrong. Bryce didn’t get paid as much as Rachelle WOULD have been paid if she had been in it.. so now what? Summit had an additional motive for recasting, they were able to increase their profit. Fact is what Rachelle did is business as usual in the movie industry, Summit just saw an opportunity and took it. You can get on your high horse and talk about her ‘responsibilities’, etc. but the fact remains that while you might say she broke the ‘rules’ of her contracts, such rules are broken regularly… Summit just chose to call her out on it, and the truth is, as a result of all this publicity, it probably didn’t hurt their take, if anything it may have increased it.
