According to the AP, a Los Angeles judge demanded that rap star Nas pay $44,000 in monthly child support payments to his estranged wife, Kelis, who gave birth to their son, Knight, yesterday. Kelis, a singer best known for her hit, "Milkshake," delivered the boy in a New York hospital. She filed for divorce from Nas last April and the two have been haggling over child support payments for months.

child support doesn’t replace a parent. it is to financially support the child (yes, the child) and this was a judge’s decision based on the income of the non-custodial parent. people need to stop acting like women are just out to get men.

1) Women are not out to get men. There are women that pay child support too. No its not as frequent as men but it does happen 2) Yes child support is suppose to be for the CHILD but we know everybody that receives child support doesnt use every bit of that for child support only. 3) I dont care how much nas makes, or what he did or whatever, it doesnt take 44,000 to take care of that child. It may take that much to take care of your child, the childs clothes and food and shelter and car and trips to the nail salon and hair salon and lunch with the friends and trips to europe….i think ya’ll get my point.
Child support is nothing but PUNISHMENT for men because “he doesn’t want you anymore”!!!!! Everyone who gets pregnant knows how to get pregnant & how NOT got get pregnant. IF you are not doing everything in your power trying NOT to get pregnant, then you ARE trying to get pregnant. So any women who gets pregnant, should be ready for the consequesnces of her actions and not blame the man for a situation SHE CONTROLS! Can’t afford a kid,,,keep your legs closed!
childsupport is the most dumbiest law the goverment has ever made . you know what about trying to build better famlies and good relationships between the child and father and they want is the money and if you dont got take your butt to jail see ya when i see ya is what the mother says.
