Australian action hero du jour Sam Worthington will star in a remake of The Candidate — a 2008 Danish thriller, not the 1972 Robert Redford political drama. Variety reports that playwright Beau Willimon (Farragut North) will adapt the original film, and the Terminator Salvation hero will play an aspiring lawyer who's blackmailed when he wakes up to find his one-night stand dead in the bathtub.
